The Minnesota Timberwolves have one of the most competitive rosters, at least on paper.

With Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves have one of the finest Big 3s in the NBA.

However, the Big 3 couldn’t help the Timberwolves get past the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2023 playoffs.

The Timberwolves were eliminated in five games by the eventual champions last season.

Former Timberwolves superstar Kevin Garnett revealed via Showtime Basketball on Twitter that two players will be essential to the organization’s success next season.

As expected, Garnett believes Edwards and Towns are the keys to bringing back the glory days for the Timberwolves.

KG believes Edwards played with a different energy during the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Many have named Edwards as the player who will have a breakout 2023-24 season following his dominant run with Team USA.

To put things into perspective, Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game last season.

He made it to the NBA All-Star team as well, and the sky seems to be the limit for the 22-year-old.

As for Towns, KG wants him to accept Edwards as his partner instead of a Robin to his Batman.

Towns put up 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists over 29 games last season.

KAT needs to become more consistent and stay healthy while trying to complement Edwards’ game.

If the two stars can find a way to do so, Garnett believes the Timberwolves can become an extremely successful franchise for the foreseeable future of the NBA.
