The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2023 NFL Season with a need at the wide receiver position.

Cooper Kupp started the year with an injury, which made him miss the first four games of the season.

As the team’s number-one option for targets, no heir-apparent would take over this role in the offense.

Just when things seemed bleak for the team, Puka Nacua stepped up.

The rookie burst onto the scene, making an instant impact on the Rams’ offense, quickly becoming a favorite target for Matthew Stafford.

Not only has Nacua been instrumental in this offense, even when Kupp returned to play, but he has now made his mark in the record books.

After another big game on Thursday Night Football, the NFL on CBS reported that Nacua is the third rookie in NFL history to have six or more 100-yard games in their rookie campaign.

Only Odell Beckham Jr. and Justin Jefferson have more 100-yard games as rookies.

This is a massive accomplishment for Nacua, as he is in good company, being listed in the same breath as Beckham and Jefferson.

Nacua isn’t done making history, either.

With his big game on Thursday Night Football, Nacua’s season total rose to 1,327 yards. ‘

The NFL record for receiving yards in a rookie season is 1,473, a total well within reach for Nacua.

Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase came close to breaking this record, but Nacua can see this in his sights with three games to go.

Can Stafford help Nacua get there, furthering the magic behind his rookie year?
