The Jacksonville Jaguars won’t have their best player on the field in a crucial matchup vs. the Carolina Panthers, but it’s not all bad news for Doug Pederson’s team.
According to a report by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the team will finally get their left tackle back, as they’ve just activated star Cam Robinson off of the Injured Reserve (IR) list.

Robinson had been out since Week 12 after suffering a knee injury in their divisional win over the Houston Texans, and he had made seven starts for them this year.
Notably, the Jaguars have yet to win another game since Robinson went down, dropping four in a row to get their record to 8-7 and put their postseason chances in jeopardy.
They’re still ahead in the divisional race, but they cannot afford another setback, especially not against the team with the worst record in the league.
Unfortunately for them, Trevor Lawrence’s injury couldn’t have happened at a worse time, and even if they shouldn’t find much trouble vs. the Panthers, not having him out there is still a big blow for their offense.
He was unable to practice all week after suffering an injury to his throwing shoulder, and he’ll now miss the first game of his professional career.
It’s not much of a surprise to see that Lawrence got pretty banged up in Robinson’s absence, and while he had been able to play through most of his ailments, it’ll now be up to C.J. Beathard to lead the way for them.
