Nets HC Lauds 1 Player’s Evolution Over The Years

The Brooklyn Nets have been thriving months after they pulled the plug on their much-hyped superteam experiment. The team currently holds an 11–9 record and is well on its way to securing at least a play-in tournament spot after their recent 114–113 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Mikal Bridges had the best performance of the game, with a total of 32 points. He was supported by James Harden with 27 points and 10 assists, Kyrie Irving, who made 24 points, and Joe Harris, who added 18.

But such impressive performances are no surprise to Nets head coach Steve Nash, who has seen the team evolve over the years and praised Bridges’ continuous development more than any other.

“There’s no surprise when Mikal has a big game,” said Nash. “He’s an incredible player and he’s grown and gotten better. His ability to use his frame and size to his advantage and his quick decision-making defensively have been huge for us.”

Bridges, who came to Brooklyn last season from the Phoenix Suns, has been enjoying the support and tutelage of Nash, Irving, and Harden, which has been a major factor in his success on the court.

“Kyrie, James, and the coach were great about teaching me the game and how they play the game,” Bridges said. “And it took a long time for me to understand it. I’m just happy that I’m able to go out there and do it.”

Indeed, Nash’s influence has been key in the development of Bridges who, despite being new to the team, has quickly assimilated to the team’s attacking style of play.

“It’s been great to be a part of the team from the start,” said Bridges. “It was something I was looking forward to, and that’s why I’m so comfortable now. I feel like I have a better understanding of the system, of the plays, and of the guys.”

Bridges’ evolution has been just one of many encouraging developments for the Brooklyn Nets as they make their way towards the playoffs. With a bolstered roster, the team has a strong chance of putting together a strong end-of-season run and making a deep postseason run.

The strong performances from Bridges and the rest of the team have been a source of inspiration for Nash, who has been a major proponent of the Nets’ development.

“We all want growth in our players and progress in the standings,” Nash said. “We’re all pushing for that, and Mikal is making that growth on a daily basis, so we’re proud of him.”

In the end, the Brooklyn Nets are overachieving and Bridges is a big part of why that is. He is improving himself every day and as a result, the team is getting better and closer to their goal of a championship.

Mikal Bridges is a shining example of the Nets’ evolution over the years and his continued growth is an inspiration for the team. It’s clear that the Nets are in the midst of a very special run and that their future is looking brighter by the day.
