The Buffalo Bills will head into their regular-season finale against the division-rival Miami Dolphins being able to control their own fate, with Josh Allen and company only needing to beat Mike McDaniels’ squad in Miami to clinch a playoff berth via the AFC East division title.
Although there is a complicated scenario in which the Bills do miss the playoffs with a loss to the Dolphins and other teams not helping them out, Buffalo will almost certainly be playoff-bound once the dust settles on the final week of the NFL regular season.
However, if somehow the Bills end up missing the postseason altogether, which would be disastrous for the franchise and its superstar quarterback Josh Allen, it won’t look good for Buffalo and will be a hot topic of discussion throughout the offseason.
Nick Wright of FOX Sports recently talked about the Bills potentially missing the playoffs and how it would directly impact Allen and his legacy moving forward via First Things First.
“Let’s be totally fair here. Would making the Super Bowl say something about Josh Allen? Yes, right? What’s the opposite of making the Super Bowl? Missing the playoffs? Should that say something about Josh Allen? Of course, it should,” Wright said.
"If the Bills miss the playoffs, it would be a massive indictment on Josh Allen."

With the Bills coming on strong in the second half of the regular season, Buffalo making the postseason and potentially being the AFC East division champions would be a great accomplishment for this team while also providing some much-needed confidence headed into what will undoubtedly be a challenging playoff run.
However, if the team does miss the postseason entirely, Wright isn’t wrong in his assessment that it will be bad for Allen, as it will be another knock on his ability to lead this team to a Super Bowl title.
