“I mean, I think we expect a championship,” Mitchell confidently stated. “I think that getting to the Finals is our goal.”
These may seem like lofty aspirations for a team that has not made it past the first round of the playoffs in the past two seasons. Just two years ago, they made it all the way to the NBA Finals, led by the dynamic duo of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
Butler and Adebayo are still the heart and soul of this team, but they are not alone. The Heat have made some significant moves this offseason to bolster their roster and put themselves in a position to compete for a championship.
