Biden, Trump, the media, the public—we have all failed the residents of East Palestine, OH

As the sun sets over East Palestine, OH, the streets are peaceful and the houses stand tall, giving the impression that everything is fine and dandy in this small town. But for many, that peaceful facade is nothing but a disguise, hiding the harsh realities of those who have been forgotten and left behind.

I am one of those who have been forgotten. And I am pissed.

Pissed at how many people have forgotten about what happened here. Pissed that everybody thinks we’re doing fine, that everything in East Palestine, OH, is good. It’s not.

For those who may not know, East Palestine was once a thriving town, full of opportunity and promise. But over the past few decades, things have changed drastically. Jobs have disappeared, businesses have closed, and people have moved away in search of greener pastures.

What was once a bustling community is now a shadow of its former self. The streets are lined with abandoned buildings, the once-vibrant downtown area is now a ghost town, and many families are struggling to make ends meet.

But despite all of this, it seems that the rest of the world has forgotten about us. It’s as if we have been erased from the map, left to fend for ourselves and pick up the pieces of our once prosperous community.

And that’s what makes me angry. Because while the rest of the world may have moved on, we are still here, fighting to survive and thrive in the face of adversity.

It’s time for us to stop pretending that everything is fine and start acknowledging the issues that are plaguing our town. We can’t continue to sweep them under the rug and hope that they will just go away.

We need to be honest with ourselves and with each other. We need to talk about the unemployment rates, the lack of opportunities, and the struggles that many families are facing. We need to come together as a community and find solutions to these problems, rather than turning a blind eye and ignoring them.

But most importantly, we need to remember. We need to remember what our town used to be, what it stood for, and what it can be again. We need to remember the hardworking men and women who built this town from the ground up and the sacrifices they made for us.

As the famous saying goes, those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. And I refuse to let that happen to East Palestine.

So, my message to everyone is this: don’t forget about us. Don’t forget about East Palestine, OH, and the struggles we are facing. And most importantly, don’t forget that we are still here, trying to make a better life for ourselves and our community.

Let’s come together, support each other, and work towards a brighter future for East Palestine. Because I can assure you, there is still so much potential and greatness within this town. We just need to remember it and work towards achieving it once again.

Yes, I may be pissed. But I’m also determined and hopeful for the future of East Palestine. Are you with me?
