The National Coordinator for the Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum, has integrated the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into her initiative to establish the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation.

“I am delighted to publicly formalize this significant alliance with the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico,” she remarked.

At the Arena Ciudad de México, the Morena party representative administered the oath to more than 10,000 individuals who will form the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation. She emphasized that these committees aim to continue ensuring workers have a dignified life.

Pedro Haces Barba, Senator of the Republic and Secretary General of CATEM, reviewed the labor progress achieved under the Fourth Transformation, including salary increases, extended vacation days, and the abolition of outsourcing.

“We are at a pivotal moment of decision, which is why, from this congress, today, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, we reaffirm our commitment to the principles of the Fourth Transformation,” he stated.

Senator Ricardo Monreal also highlighted the necessity of maintaining a strong relationship between workers and the government, as it will help further advance labor rights and opportunities. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
