The Dallas Cowboys were rolling before they ran into a road block in Week 15 as they were embarrassed by the surging Buffalo Bills.
For over a month, the Cowboys offense was humming with Dak Prescott playing some of the best football of his career but the Bills’ defense was able to hold them to just 10 points.
It was quite the performance from Buffalo who has been able to turn their season around, while Dallas now has to prove that it’s recent stretch was legitimate.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys don’t get much of a break as they face another AFC East juggernaut in the Miami Dolphins in Week 16.
Like Dallas, Miami has a lot to prove and will look to beat its first team that’s over .500.
The Cowboys match up well with the Dolphins, though they’ll be shorthanded up front as they’ll be without starting left tackle Tyron Smith via Michael Gehlken of Dallas Morning News.
“Cowboys have downgraded LT Tyron Smith to out for Sunday’s game at Dolphins. He won’t be traveling to Miami with the back injury. Chuma Edoga to start,” Gehlken tweeted.

Smith suffered a back injury in the loss to the Bills and was unable to practice during the week, leaving the team to list him as doubtful for the Dolphins.
Losing Smith is a huge deal for Dallas as he’s been playing great in both the run and passing game, so Prescott might face more pressure than usual.
This should be a high-scoring affair given the two offenses, though it could be the Cowboys who end up playing catch-up.
