With the New York Jets out of the playoffs, fans have to live with the fact that their 2023 NFL season will end up another lost year.
Jets fans have had to endure some really tough seasons in years past, and this one ranks right up there as one of the most disappointing given their preseason hopes and expectations
New York went all-in on their young roster when they made a blockbuster deal for Aaron Rodgers, but the future Hall of Fame quarterback suffered a torn Achilles in Week 1 that essentially ended their season.
Head coach Robert Saleh was forced to start Zach Wilson and the former No. 2 overall pick looked completely out of his depth and general manager Joe Douglas drew criticism for not having a better plan at backup quarterback.
With another losing record on deck, some thought that Jets owner Woody Johnson would clean house and look for replacements for Saleh and Douglas.
However, Johnson is reportedly keeping the pairing and fans seem to be OK with the decision via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
#Jets set for do-over in 2024.
Sources say there is no indication owner Woody Johnson will make a change, a sign that coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas will be back.

It wouldn’t have been too surprising for fans to be upset with the report, but it seems like they understand that the 2023 season was only going to be a success with Rodgers under center.
With the quarterback scheduled to be fully healthy come 2024, fans should feel a little optimistic that New York can compete in the playoffs.
However, Saleh and Johnson shouldn’t be completely off the hook as the two will need to be better if they want the team to end their postseason drought.
