The Detroit Pistons have a good coach and some of the most promising young players in the league.

However, they can’t seem to put together good efforts on the court, dropping 15 games in a row and boasting a league-worst 2-16 record.

That’s why getting Bojan Bogdanovic back into the mix could be such a massive boost for them.

Fortunately, that could happen as soon as Saturday, as Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the veteran forward is targeting the game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers to make his return to the court.

Detroit Pistons F Bojan Bogdanovic (right calf strain) could make his season’s debut as soon as Saturday vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources tell ESPN. The Pistons — who’ve lost 15 straight — would be getting back a 21.6 point a game scorer from a year ago.

The former Utah Jazz star scored almost 22 points per game last season and was a highly coveted veteran player on the eve of the trade deadline, but the front office decided to hold onto him.

The Pistons have a plethora of young talents.

Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren have been the most impressive thus far, yet they can’t seem to put together a consistent effort for four quarters.

The lack of a veteran leader has been evident at times, and Bogdanovic is a guy who’s been there and done that and won’t be fazed by the pressure.

It’s still quite early in the season, and there’s a chance that Monty Willliams’ team will be able to turn things around and make a late push for the Play-In Tournament.

Otherwise, if things don’t improve soon, perhaps they could reconsider their stance about holding onto Bogdanovic, as it wouldn’t be shocking to see multiple teams trying to make a run at him again before the deadline.
