The Chicago Bears ended the regular season with several questions about their future.
The most pressing was in regards to their quarterback position, especially since they have the No. 1 overall draft pick from the Carolina Panthers.
While they still haven’t publicly announced what they will do in that regard, the Bears recently made a personnel decision that will hopefully assist whoever their quarterback ends up being.
According to Tom Pelissero’s report, the Bears are expected to hire Shane Waldon, a former offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.

As Pelissero indicates, Waldon has spent the last three seasons with the Seahawks but appears to be looking for a new opportunity.
After spending time under Pete Carroll, Waldron will hopefully take the skills he learned from the veteran coach and apply them to the Bears’ offense.
Waldron has worked with several successful organizations and coaches, including the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.
With this in mind, Waldron could be what the Bears have been looking for, hoping to bring their offense to new heights.
He could be a part of the organization’s looming quarterback decision, one that could change the course of the franchise for years to come.
If they draft Caleb Williams, they’ll have one of the most anticipated prospects in league history.
If they trade back in the draft, they would be rolling the dice on another young player, one unknown to them.
Of course, they could stick with Fields, hoping he pans out with a new regime and perhaps some new pieces around him.
