The Buffalo Bills were confident heading into their playoff matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

They were on a roll, seemingly blowing past their competition in the weeks leading up to this game.

It seemed like an excellent opportunity for them to finally beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.

However, as fans now know, they fell short of that goal.

While football is a team game, quarterbacks are often known as the heroes of the sport if a team wins and the scapegoat if the team loses.

There was a narrative surrounding Josh Allen in this game, as many believed that the Bills were the better team, but Patrick Mahomes was the better overall quarterback.

After seeing how it all played out, Tony Romo said, “This is going to be the most devastating loss of Josh Allen’s career.”

As Romo further illustrated, everything seemed to be in the Bills’ favor heading into this game.

They were at home in a stadium that is traditionally hard to play in, and with the Chiefs having less firepower than usual, this was an excellent year for Allen and the Bills to take that next step.

While they didn’t pull out the win, Romo acknowledged that Allen played a great game.

He will undoubtedly be back next year to try and finish the job, but as Romo mentions, this one might sting for a while.

The Chiefs have proved once again that they are a tough out in the playoffs, even when the odds seem stacked against them.
